Simple Share is a Chrome extension that adds a floating share button to webpages. It lets you share the current page via WhatsApp, Email, or your device's native share sheet (AirDrop, Nearby Share, etc). Simple Share does not collect, transmit, store remotely, sell, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party.
When you click the share button, the extension reads the URL and title of the page you are currently viewing. This information is used only to build the WhatsApp link, email content, or native share request you choose to send. It is never saved, logged, or transmitted anywhere except to the sharing method you select.
The extension uses Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local)

This data never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted to the developer, to Anthropic, to Google, or to any other third party. It exists solely so the button stays where you left it between browsing sessions.
When you choose to share a page, Simple Share opens the relevant service (WhatsApp, your email client, or your device's native share sheet) with the page's link pre-filled. Once that service opens, your interaction is governed by that service's own privacy policy — Simple Share has no further visibility into or control over what happens next.
Simple Share does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising technology of any kind. It does not monitor your browsing activity, clicks, or behaviour on any site.
If this policy ever changes, the update date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected in the Chrome Web Store listing for Simple Share.
